firemart 0 #1 Posted April 20, 2010 I'm thinking of draining and changing the tranny fluid. I think it's 10W40, but, how much?
WheelHorse_of_course 99 #2 Posted April 20, 2010 Hello Firemart and . Go to this page for lots of links. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=143 Under other web sites one of the links is to a PDF with all the details on belts and liquid capacities etc. The tranny fluid will be either 10W-30 OR Dextron. You must be sure not to mix them and there is no way to tell which it is but by looking at what is in there. If you are lucky it has dextron since it warms up faster in the cold weather. Don't bother draining it until you have a replacement filter. Make sure you get a hydro filter NOT and old filter the same size. And be VERY careful not to contaminate the hydro system as a little dirt can do a LOT of damage. :omg:
