firemart 0 #1 Posted April 19, 2010 I have never worked on points on anything, but, I am going to have to tackle this on my C-120. I am going to install new points and a condenser as recommended. How do I do this? Are any special tools needed? Should I just buy a tune-up kit? I can get it from Jack's for $32.95. :omg:
MaineDad 87 #2 Posted April 19, 2010 Just go to your local Napa store if you have one and buy a set of points with a new condenser. All you need is a screw driver and feeler gauge to change and adjust them. You want to adjust the points to .
firemart 0 #3 Posted April 19, 2010 Thanks! I'm trying to stay under budget here. I'm friends with the local NAPA owner here. I'll just pick up the points and condenser and a plug from him. Any particular part number? Or, do I just tell him it's for a Kohler K301? $20-30?
