dgjks6 8 #1 Posted April 17, 2010 So after a year of going back and forth, repower, bigger power, etc I have decided to try to restore my c-85 to original. I know - put in lots of money for somethig not worth much. But the jouney is the fun part. So here is my question - motor is blown. I got a new bearing plate and new cam. Now I need a new piston and rod. How do I tell what size to get and whether I need to get the cylinder bored and oversize piston? Sorry if I asked this before. I am having memeory problems. rick 257 #2 Posted April 17, 2010 I use a trusted machinist to advise me how to proceed when I am overhauling an engine. Take the engine specifications with you to the machine shop, so he knows what the dimensions should be.
