myblk01tj 0 #1 Posted April 14, 2010 Hey guys! I am looking at a D-250 wheel horse it is in running condition and the tin is good, minor suface rust. There are no implements with it, just a tractor. Thanks in advance for your help. Alex

clintonnut 126 #4 Posted April 14, 2010 His question: Are they good to use for daily life? The answer NO! Unless you want to fill my PM box and several other D-250 owners with questions about these tractors don't get it. If you have a Renault dealer close by then sure, go ahead and buy it. Not to sound mean or anything but they are a to get parts/work on. I'm sure there are other 250 owners who feel the same thing. Once you know them real well then it will be a love/hate thing and then you will have more then one of these wonders. If you want it bad here's some tips. Search D-250 on this site. Read through every post. Then search Gutbrod 2500 on google. Try to find parts for a Gutbrod 2500. Then search Renault R4 on ebay. There are plenty of parts out there for renaults not so much for gutbrods. If you have UK connections, IM JEALOUS!!! If the guy has a price in mind what is it? I personally wouldn't pay more that $700 for what you are describing. Does it have a 3pt hitch? If so I would go $800 Good Luck! (seriously) and WE WANT PICTURES!!! myblk01tj 0 #5 Posted April 14, 2010 Sorry, my question was what would it be worth. Alex
rickv1957 74 #6 Posted April 14, 2010 500.00 to 800.00 is my guess with out any pictures,Rick
Bill 4 #7 Posted April 14, 2010 I'm going go with Charlie on this one, there nice to have and to look at, I take mine out twice a yr to move the log splitter around using the 3 point hitch, then maybe once twice to use the back blade and fix the gravel driveway and thats about it..and trust me when I say it's a love/hate relationship. they really make you when it comes time to find some parts... with the price I'll go and say it's whatever you feel it's worth to you, and how bad you want it, but a ball park figure without photos is in the $600 to $800. range
