Fair Price for a 1994 520 60'' Deck & Foot Contr

Recommended Posts

I found a real nice 1994 520H with the following:

- Tractor is probably a 7 to 8 out of 10.

- Has 353 hours

- Has 60'' deck (with a few welds on the end)

- No rust on the tractor (paint is very nice)

- Has the OEM Wheel Horse Foot Control for the hydro

- Needs new tires (they are dry rotted)

He is firm on $2,000

Do you guys think the tractor is worth this. The foot control is a nice option and I think these are rare.

Thanks

The hours are nice and low. And a 60" deck is nice to (if you need one that size). Even with a the foot control and keep in mind no pictures to go off of. Im thinking close to truckin88. $1500 to $1800. Are there any service records to confirm it's history, how well it has been cared for?

Some people use there tractors like their favorit car and other treat them like a hammer. Beat the tare out of it and then throw it in the corner until next time.

No matter, always remember... Buyer Beware...

350 hours on the machine and multiple welds on the deck. Either the hour meter lies or he was mowing a field with stumps. Sounds like it was run by a kid who was in a big hurry to get done and none to careful about what he hit....

Hello guys,

Thanks for the input. This guy bought the tractor about 10 years ago (it had about 100 hours) from the original owner and it had the factory installed 48'' deck. He then took it to a dealer and had the foot control installed and had them switch decks for the 60'' one (which it had the welds at the time). So the deck is not original to the tractor. No other repairs were made to the deck since he owned the deck/tractor.

The tractor was maintenced from the standpoint of changing engine oil and being greased. It doesn't look like the hydro oil was changed often. Also, there is a lot of grass clipping within the hydro area (it wasn't cleaned out). I know this can cause that to run hot.

It was stored in a garage and the paint, seat, etc is in excellent condition. There is no rust (not even in the footwell area).

Thanks again for the input.
