porkchop 1 #1 Posted April 12, 2010 I got the new c175 out changed the oil to synthetic and added a 48" deck. The problem is the steering is nice and tight but it,s off a tooth or 2 on the gear and will not turn left as far as right, Whats the easiest way to move it a tooth??? Loosen the shaft or lift the steering wheel up??? :omg:
rickv1957 74 #2 Posted April 12, 2010 Randy,is steering fan gear centered when tires are straight?,Rick
clintonnut 126 #3 Posted April 12, 2010 Yea you might want to adjust your tie rods if it is off. Once you adjust I think there should be 1/8-1/4" of toe in measuring from the edge of the tire. Charlie

porkchop 1 #7 Posted April 12, 2010 Some one must have welded the rack gear to the steering shaft that go,s to the front with the wheels turned. That,s ok I have the parts to fix it and the motor and hydro are good. I just mowed the whole yard with it and it will be a good tractor with a little work and paint. :D
