42XR01 Deck Questions

I asked this in the forum before, but was hoping someone had some specifics.

I bought a 42XR01. 42 in. RD deck. Does anyone know if and more importantly how this can be converted to use on my 314?

Actually tractor is 73449 (314-8 its a 2001 model)

I wonder if pulley could be changed and attach a matic lift put on.

Is the 42XR01 deck for a verticle shaft mower? I picked this deck up for

$100 bucks and it is very solid although in need of a paint job. Maybe

I will just blast, sand and paint and sell. I need to post a photo of what

it looks like and what might need to be done to change over. I like the 42 in . I

have a 36 I'm using now and works great, but to some extent size matters!
