jimt1971 237 #1 Posted April 8, 2010 Hello, Here are a few photos of my mighty mac chipper mounted to my Raider 12. The hood is off so I can check the gas and oil. Hope you all enjoy the pics. Jim

sorekiwi 761 #4 Posted April 8, 2010 Interesting, I just picked up a Mighty Mac 2 days ago, and was thinking about mounting it on the front of a tractor. I take it that yours was a stand-alone version to begin with? I want to give mine a workout with its 5hp Briggs for a while to decide if the extra HP from the tractor would improve its capabilities. Or the other idea I am toying with is to mount it on a dump cart so I dont have to pick the processed stuff up off the ground. :omg:
jimt1971 237 #5 Posted April 8, 2010 Mike, This was one of those with the Briggs five horse. But I was able to come up with this mount that is bolted on and fits the tachmatic. It comes off in five minutes and you can put the wheels back on. Jim
dobeleo 7 #6 Posted April 8, 2010 I have an old MTD 5 HP chipper that that had a tappered shaft on the inlet. The engine got trashed and it is difficult to find an engine for it. This would be neat to make. Are pulleys available for a tapered shaft? Is the weight of the chipper mounted off the front of the WH, all the tension there is on the belt? I may try to do this. I was ready to scrap the chipper. Any comments would be appreciated. Dan
