BRADFORDKO 0 #1 Posted April 7, 2010 Anyone know where you can get the proper blades for a RM-324 deck. I am sure you can just match up the length and buy the right length blade but with a rear discharge don't they have a left blade and a right blade and they push (blow) the grass out the back? Otherwise if you got two that match the same pitch or angle it would push the grass to the left and get clumps of it. Never used this deck before and in process of rebuild before the grass gets too tall. Ken Nebraska 1964 654 32" Deck 32" Snow blower Blade :omg:
Roger from southern Iowa 1 #2 Posted April 7, 2010 Yes it will require a right and left blade. I've always taken cutting width, blade length. If you have the old blades, take them with you to either a dealer or parts store and tell them it a RD deck. I know my local NAPA is willing to work with this info and come up with proper blades. W9JAB 156 #3 Posted April 7, 2010 If you go to Toro and look up the blades for a RM-364 gear driven deck they show 4116 and 4117 18" blades left and right are no longer available. They should still be available by ordering kit # 8014 but they fail to note this. Toro-Lawnboy 8014 BLADE KIT 52362 The Wheel Horse part # 4116 & 4117 are the 18" left and right for a RM 366, your Toro dealer should be able to get them, I got a new set last year in a Wheel Horse box. BRADFORDKO 0 #5 Posted April 7, 2010 :omg: I contacted a local lawn parts representative and through their regional Toro representative was able to find the right part. With the deck model number and original parts number, they were able to find the right part and order them. I had to confirm twice that they had the right size blades as I have a 32" mower deck and they assured me they were right. Not cheap, but original. Should be here in let than 10 days. If they are the right ones, I will list the part number and post links to pictures as well if it would help anyone else. I hope to show my RM-324 restore for future use by others. qd-16 14 #6 Posted April 7, 2010 Just to let everybody know, Glenn's Surplus, a vendor on Redsquare, carry the blades for the 36 inch gear driven decks. They are $20 a set! I was just down there yesterday and they have 4 or 5 sets. These blades are aftermarket but are a lot cheaper than the blades from Toro. I've had a set on my 856 for a few years now and they are holding up well.
