rmaynard 16,293 #1 Posted March 31, 2010 I find it curious that suddenly today, over 4000 items appear when you do a search for Wheel Horse on eBay. For the last 3 months, an average of about 1000 items were available on any given day, but now it's over 4000. Very curious Bob
Duff 206 #2 Posted March 31, 2010 Bob - that occasionally happens. Try putting Wheel Horse in quotes ("Wheel Horse") and resubmit the search. That often narrows it down..... Duff :omg:
Raider12 13 #3 Posted March 31, 2010 I think it has a lot to do with "how" you do your search? I search under "Home & Garden" to try and wead out things that are called a wheel horse that will ahve nothing to do with tractors. I just looked under my search and 2502 items show up. I also know that you can search with the name Wheel Horse or Wheelhorse. And this to will change things completly. Denver
billyban1 0 #4 Posted March 31, 2010 That has happened a few times this spring. People are flooding it with manual reproductions and simple small parts that get no bids. A lot of it is listed for 30 days, which clutters it for a long time. I usually search e-bay every lunch break at work, but lately I've been ignoring it. Too much junk listed. I'm having better luck keeping an eye on the local Craig's List.
rmaynard 16,293 #5 Posted March 31, 2010 Bob - that occasionally happens. Try putting Wheel Horse in quotes ("Wheel Horse") and resubmit the search. That often narrows it down..... Duff I search with the following criteria ("wheel horse","wheelhorse"). That finds all titles that have the spelling as Wheel Horse and/or Wheelhorse all in one search. So that doesn't change the numbers, as that is how I have always searched. I just find it curious that suddenly there are 4 times as many items as before. rmaynard 16,293 #6 Posted March 31, 2010 Just found out what happened. As of this morning, ALL listings are showing up in search, including Stores etc. That only used to happen if you searched using the Buy-it-now tab Bob :omg:
Duff 206 #7 Posted March 31, 2010 Don;t know what to tell you, Bob. I just ran it with "wheel horse" and came up with 2,694 listings, which is still about double what I used to see but well short of 4,000. Hmmmmm..... Duff :omg:

Ken B 3,189 #12 Posted April 1, 2010 I look forward to looking thru on average 24 pages of Wheel Horse stuff per night. No way am I gonna look thru 60 pages! I was wondering the same thing a few nights ago.
RADMAN521 0 #13 Posted April 2, 2010 I look for mainly d series But I found parantheses and quotes work well you can even add a minus sign and a word and ebay will exclude that word. Here is an EXAMPLE ("wheelhorse","wheel horse","D-200","d200","kohler k532") -catalog -manual -manuals The words after the quotations it will exclude from the search. Pay attention to the spacing and spelling inside the quotations it will search the literal word.
Coadster32 793 #14 Posted April 3, 2010 If you search daily or every other day, just sort by "newly listed". Usually only a few pages to thumb thru that you haven't seen. Edit: Just a thought. If there's 2000 listings out there on any given day, and over 2000 RS members thumbing thru those pages, chances are very good we know who's bidding and selling them don't we?? boatman 3 #16 Posted April 3, 2010 :omg: As of late they are flooding the wheel horse ebay with all kind of parts and manuals and toys that have nothing to do with the tractors and misc parts that are ussually there. It is getting to be a real pain. Makes you not even want to go there.
