Raider12 13 #7 Posted March 30, 2010 Ok, I gota ask. Is there oil in it? I know this is a simple tast but, sometimes it's the simplest things we can over look. Has been stting for a long while without being run? Or maybe you don't know the history? Denver
zach l 2 #8 Posted March 30, 2010 i have no idea on the history of it but the way the inside looks it looks like it has been sitting for a while without oil
Raider12 13 #9 Posted March 30, 2010 i have no idea on the history of it but the way the inside looks it looks like it has been sitting for a while without oil It would nice if you could fill it with oil and pick it up and shake it around some to slosh the oil all over. It could be something as simple as a dry spot just needs lubed up. Maybe try filling it full of oil and letting it sit a day or so. If you did this, I would fill it full with transmission fluid and let sit a couple of days and then try and work by hand. Then drain the fluid out and repalce it with the correct oil. Buzz 502 #14 Posted March 30, 2010 Have you put oil in it yet? If you haven't anything from the bearings to the wrist pin to the rings could be making that noise. Remove the spark plug and squirt a little oil down the hole.
