Mowing Deck Lift

Recommended Posts

Butch

Ebay has several adjustable deck lift controls and I think I've seen them on the 300 Series also. They have a knob which I guess you use to dial in the height you want. Are they all the same part and interchangeable between the different model tractors? Would they also work lifting the plow and mid mount grader? Thanks.

There are several different style lift controls, along with the dail a height, make sure to get one specific to your model tractor, and yes they can set a desired heightRick

Thanks Rick. The 3 on Ebay all looked the same so that's why I was wondering if all the models used the same part.

I was just looking at my operators manual and it shows it was available for the 400 Series and not the 300 Series so I don't know if it would even work on the 300 Series. Anyone know?

Per Toro:

Use existing Hoodstand Plate. Notch must be made for Dial-A-Height sleeve and casting.

Current Model Available: 86725

They were optional for the tractors not originally equipped with Dial-A-Height and will definitely work with the simple modification specified above.

Thanks TT and Duke. I found both part numbers, 86725 and 86726 for sale on the internet. Don't know what the difference is other than the years.

RCPW has the 86725 for $63.91 and the 86726 for $71.09. Both are great prices compared to the other sites I use.

Found out on the https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm that the 86725 is for the 1985 and the 86726 is for 1986 to 1989.

Duke do you have a closeup pic from the side so I can take a better look?

Thanks for the help. It's greatly appreciated.

Butch,

Those are inexpensive used. The guys parting tractors on ebay have then regularly, often all 4 pieces are less than $15.

FYI, you're not suppossed to use that to adjust mower deck height. That is for blade or tiller etc.

Glenn,

I want it for my plow and and mid mount grader. I knew it wasn't for the mower. I have looked on Ebay on and off and never found one that mentioned the 300 Series.

I ordered a new one through RCPW which was $64.00

Thanks.
