Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted March 12, 2010 The 603 and 704 have the wrong filler neck and is a diff size tank, not buy much but is smaller, I tried fitting a suburban tank in my 603 and it don't fit, you need a RJ or suburban tank, the tanks that mount to the little Kohlers some not all are very close. Buzz 502 #6 Posted March 13, 2010 According to the milicalawn site, the 401, 551, and 701 gas tanks are the same ( part # 1785). If you can find a tank that is the same size you can have the filler neck moved and/or extended if necessary. That's what I had to do to my Bantam. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

wheelly 0 #8 Posted March 13, 2010 I bought a 401 today and picking it up tomorrow so I'm not sure if the tank straps are even on it. I will learn more tomorrow. I have a tank that sits on top of a k91 I'm hoping it will fit. this is my 3rd purchase in the last month. Just got done with a 653 and an RJ 58. Thanks for everyone's help.
