Ok, I found another one on craigslist and was wanting to know if you all think it would be worth fixing it up? And if so if one can get the parts. Also if anyone knows the model and age? As for the other one, I haven't had the time to go look at it yet, but when I do I'll let you all know. thanks.

I personally like the steering wheel. IMO if the tranny looks ok and the Kohler turns over by hand a $150 offer can't hurt.

Going along with VIN's statement, in my local area it would bring the 150 to 200 pretty easy.

I have seen this add over the past couple of months. It has gone off then back on price never changs. I wouldn't pay that much myself, and it doesn't sound like they'll take anyless

I agree with Jim... probably an 854... could also be a 753. Hard to tell without seeing the dash. Plenty of good looking parts there. WH stuff seems to bring a little more money out in your neck of the woods, so the $150 suggestion probably isn't bad. I'd start my offer at less that that though... so you have some negotiating room and can end up at $150. I personally wouldn't pay more than $100, but only you can decide what it's worth to you.

Ya, its crusty and dirty, but with a little elbow grease it would part out for more than $150. It looks to have a good engine belt guard, those go for a minimum of $40 on evil-bay. Another $40 for the hood (it doesn't look that bad), check the inside of the gas tank (that would sell if nice), then even if the Kohler is tired, as long as its all there and spins by hand... $'s. Its got what looks like a nice set of fenders........ If it could be snagged for $125-150 you'd make money.

You people are lucky...the CraigsList for Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky have WH tractors for sale with 1/2 the parts on them for twice what you are looking at! Guess these peolpe really DON'T want to sell them! B)

Better wear snake boots to get to that one. It's a shame how some people don't take care of things. That tractor could come back to life and really look good. Good luck with it. P/S. I have a good yard rake if you want to clean up the place for him. He should give you the tractor just for removal.

:party: If it were me, I would go look at it. And, before I made any offers, look around. People that leave things like that by the old corncrib, sometimes have more things to go with it. (At least around here they do) See what he has, then go from there. Pat
