Mike did a great job with this tutorial. When I sent the dash panel to him, I have to admit that I had tried unsuccessfully to restore several others in the past.

After reading Mike's description of what to use and how to use it, and after seeing how he had turned my old dash panel into a 'work of art', I decided that I was going to gather some new supplies, find an old dash and give it one more try.

So, just to prove that Mike's method works, here is my before picture of a C-161 dash panel:

Here it is after I used the MikesRJ method:

Thanks again Mike for putting together a great "how-to".

Now if I only had a tractor that I could put this 106134 dash on.

I have a very good supply of plug buttons available for these dash panels. They are the plugs to fill the light switch hole and the electric clutch hole. See the picture below.

The top of the button is textured, just like the dash panel. These plugs are no longer available from Toro.

If you need any, PM or email me rmaynard@qis.net .

I will be at the WHCC show in June, and I will have these, along with some other items such as FOOTREST PAD material. (see picture below).

This material is identical to the pads used on many models.

If you would like to have a dash panel restored, bring it along. I will take it home with me, restore it at a very reasonable price, and mail it back to you when it's done.

I am not sure what was used in the early to mid 70's, but this is the same as the material in part number 105201, used on my 1977 B-100. That part number was also used on 1975 and 76 B's and C's.

I've got the stuff in rolls and can cut to any size as long as the material that you want is like this:
