xring1 2 #1 Posted March 5, 2010 I have a 85 417a and recently got a plow for it. I do not think the plow had ever been used and I mounted it yesterday. I seem to be missing the "link?" that goes from the plow to the lift. I read somewhere about a solid metal link so you can get down pressure. I have it hooked up with mechanics wire for now and played with it some last night. I have read posts about not enough traction with a plow.....I was "winging back" the hard/wet snow on the sides of my driveway with no chains or wheel weights and it did pretty good The plow is a 79350 . Does anyone have the dimensions of the link so I can make one or know where I might find one?
C-Series14 15 #2 Posted March 5, 2010 Same as what I typed to the other member... Pretty simple, you need a solid link! They made several solid links for this application and other attachments and I don't have a clue on part numbers but most folks make their own or folks have measurements or actually have some laying around. It has been discussed here before but I can't find it. Might try searching around or wait for folks to get off work and get on here...
