520H Snow Plow mount

Recommended Posts

New to this forum, but I was wondering if anyone has mounted a snowblade to a 520 so it has down force on the blade. Blade "rides up" when plowing even adjusted all the way back so it cuts best.

Think there might be someway to solid mount it to the lift cylinder, but not sure if it would damage it or not..

I'm mounting the blade like this link below.

Any ideas.. other than adding weight to the blade?

Welcome!

Pretty simple, you need a solid link! B) They made several solid links for this application and other attachments and I don't have a clue on part numbers but most folks make their own or folks have measurements or actually have some laying around. It has been discussed here before but I can't find it. Might try searching around or wait for folks to get off work and get on here...

You need a solid link between the blade mount and the tractors lift mechanism. The "T" shaped lift arm gets removed when using the link. I have a short solid link on mine from the blade to the "T" shaped lift arm and it does ride over some of the harder packed snow....

Last time I checked, you could still get solid bars from the dealership. Something like $12.00

I just zip tie the t-bar up and out of the way, and attach the bar directly to the blade. Can usually lift the front end off the ground 3 or 4 inches.

If you have the blade adjusted all the way back it won't cut very well in that hole try moving the pin down until it starts cutting better, I think it will be a lot better then. Try it you'll like it
