mflowers 86 #1 Posted March 1, 2010 I am hoping to begin rebuilding my K-341 and am looking for a good parts source. Any suggestions? The reason for the rebuild is crankcase has twice filled with fuel while running, not sure what caused it...
rickv1957 75 #2 Posted March 1, 2010 Kohler has the rebuild parts as do aftermarket suppliers, the kohler parts are expensive ,fuel pump must be leaking into crankcase,Rick
Rollerman 290 #3 Posted March 1, 2010 Like Rick mentioned the fuel pump is probably leaking back into the engine because the diaphragm inside the pump is ripped. The fuel pumps are mechanical & are powered off a lobe on the cam so if it leaks fuel goes into the engine.. Replacement pumps can be had a at Napa dealer....have to ask for small engine parts, or any small engine/mower shop that carries Kohler parts. I'll warn you the pumps themselves are not cheap & have found the best price on them for me at Napa. Engine parts (I start with your fuel pump first) can be ordered at the same places or ebay. Here is one ebay seller that sells rebuild kits & pumps. http://stores.ebay.com/The-Mans-One-Stop-S...c0Q2em14?_pgn=3 I use the Stens parts & have never had any problems so far, other say stick with genuine $$ Kohler parts.
