These are some of my new additions to the herd i've been kinda busy the last couple months making lots of road trips for stuff.

This Lawn Ranger L155 was my last purchase of 2009.

This C160 with 48" deck and tiller were my first purchase of 2010 I met up with a member in South Dakota to get this. Unfortunately this is the only year of the C160 that came with the Tecumseh HH160 and its giving me some trouble so if someone has a kohler I can replace this with let me know, I may be willing to trade the Lawn Ranger for the right motor.

wheelhorse013.jpg

I can't find the id tag on this tiller and I need to replace the seals are they pretty much all the same or do I need to id this to get the right parts??

My 48" blade was my most recent purchase, I ordered rear ag tires yesterday now I would like to find some reasonably priced tri ribs for the front most of the ones I see cost more than the rear ag tires.

I guess I am definitely hooked on wheel horse, I am also working on purchasing a C100 and a 653.

Jason, I don't think i'll be taking any horses up there I would like to go with an empty trailer just in case I find something I can't live without. If I take anything it would probably be non wheel horse related but I would rather sell them before the show so I have some extra cash, I would like to find a round hood to fix up if the 653 deal doesn't work out.

Matt, I may pass on the C100 deal if you are interested I could get the phone number to ya, the po claims the 10hp kohler has been recently rebuilt, it is a hydro trans, with a 36" rd deck but the deck is kinda rough, he is pretty firm on his price of $300.

Its in Spring Valley MN, I looked at it in about August its a nice tractor but I passed on it at the time due to my lack of cash flow, I just talked to the owner on Saturday and he still had it. I have a picture on my cell phone but its not very good if you pm me your cell I can send it to ya.

I think Google said it was about 3 hours south of me. Not too bad of a drive!

Looks like something that I would want Ryan. Let me know if you decide to pass on it B):clap:

You might want to investigate this tractor a little more......

There were no C-100 Automatics, but it very well could be a '74-'75 B-100.

That engine in the C-160 doesn't look like it's big enough to be a 16HP. It looks more like an 8HP. I don't know if I've ever seen a techy bigger than 8 in real life. Just thinking out loud here. Were the techys a smaller block compared to the Kohlers and Briggs? Or is this an optical illusion? Nice tractors and attachments.

Here is another picture of the tecumseh, its an HH160 which means it is a horizontal shaft 16hp motor, these motors also had over head valves which you can't see in the picture but there is a box on top of the head for the valves and it has pushrod tubes on the outside of the motor similar to a Harley Davidson motor. You are right about it looking small in the tractor, maybe an optical illusion, I need to put the 2 c160 tractors side by side and do a comparison.

wheelhorse012.jpg

Sorry Rustynut but I think I may be needing that since I will be adding on to my garden this year.

Rick, i'm not sure what is going to happen with this tractor I just moved it out to the shed and I may try working on it again this spring, if I do get rid of the motor you will be the first to know.

Those overhead valve Tecumseh engines were really the talk of the town when they were being built. There was a single cylinder 18hp that was made too. I can only imagine how much torque those engines could produce. I had a 416 for short while and that engine was loaded with power.

Overhead valves?! I would not have guessed that. I would have bet that most of the engines in that era were of the VIB kind. Interesting. You learn something new everyday. Thanks for sharing.
