Does anyone know want the GPM and PSI might be for kit 97-40FL01? I have one on the C-160 and want to add power steering. I am thinking it would be more than enough judging from how fast the cylinders move .

My manual for mine says 1400 psi. Don't see anything about gpm's.

Thanks, I can not read my specs page very well in the manual that I have. Its a photo copy of the original and you know how that often turns out.

A power steering setup would be a nice option on a C160 with loader!,Rick

I would say the pump is about right for power steering. There are a couple of ways to do it. You could use the power beyond port off the valve to connect the circuit but you will loose the pressure when using the FEL. You should still be able to steer though. It will just get hard. The flow will probably need to be reduced.

Another way is to use a priority flow divider installed before the FEL circuit to send fluid to the steering valve. This way you would have constant pressure for steering but you loose some of the volume going to the FEL and it will loose some of its speed.

Well I have in my grubby little paws, an Eaton series 2 steering control unit.

Search for 291-5011-061 on page 6.

Which brings me to page 19 here.

Is the pump going to be too much PSI?
