gregg.d250 0 #1 Posted February 19, 2010 Does anyone know offhand what the Toro PN is for the steel PTO bearing collar which slips over the end of the crankshaft (K-Series) and has an ID of 1"? While I'm on this, what is the PN for the 1-1/8" PTO bearing collar? (Also K-Series) Thanks much,
Don1977 605 #2 Posted February 19, 2010 1" bearing race for a C- series is 6935 1 1/8" bearing race for a C- series is 6658 Others may be different I know I bought a new clutch disk in the late 80's or early 90's that was thinner than the original and wore out the c-clips a couple of times. I fixed it by placing a 1/16" spacer behind the clutch disk. Go to the Wheel Horse Links " TORO" put in your model number and hit summit. Then pick out the year model. Then pick "PTO and clutch linkage" it will give you a parts drawing.
gregg.d250 0 #3 Posted February 20, 2010 Don- Thanks for those part numbers. I was thinking of swapping a K301 wide-block off a Simplicity Landlord that I cut up years back into my no-name 8 and though the K301 has a 1" shaft, it's the correct length. I wasn't sure if all the K181 engines and what other applications used the 1" crank so I figured I'd check the place with all the answers first!! Much appreciated- B)
