Kohler Magnum engines

The Kohler Magnum 12HP in my Wheel Horse is the same weight and has the same stroke as the Kohler Magnum 16HP. Can I bore out the cylinder and fit and install a pistin from a 16hp engine?

Or are the 16hp Magnums a different block?

The crankshafts are balanced differently too.
