TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #4 Posted February 11, 2010 Forgive me for being so blunt, but if you had time to take pictures, upload them, and then put a post on the forum, you had time to clean off the tag and get the numbers. rustynut 4 #5 Posted February 11, 2010 well i was kinda bussy as you could see i took them out side and then i went to read the sticker on the motor and there was tape over it so i pealed the tape off and the sticky stuff off the tape was all over the tag so i cant read anything on it so i got to get rubbing alchohol and try to just take the sticky stuff off instead of the paint off the tag so im soorry i dont have all the time in the world

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #8 Posted February 11, 2010 So why don't you look under the dash for the tractor tag? If I'm seeing things correctly, it might just have "T-1046" stamped in it. By the way.... you're only 15 years old, right? You have a lot more time than you think.
rustynut 4 #9 Posted February 11, 2010 i have looked under the dash and everywhere on the frame and i didnt have time today my dad had me plowin the whole day after i got done usein my wheel horse i had to use the bob cat fer 15 other ppl we have to plow out cause they pay us to

rustynut 4 #12 Posted February 11, 2010 thank you whfan umm i think i sent you a message if you the same person I dont know but are you the one with the 857 picturre on here in the photo gallery
whfan74 2,071 #13 Posted February 11, 2010 I don't have an 857 but a 1277.........which it does look like that quite a bit. I am not an expert on these machines but I would have to lean towards what has already been stated. When you get a chance to find the id tag, feel free to post it and we will go from there. Will be tough to see as it sits right under the dash in front of your shifter. Good luck!
rustynut 4 #14 Posted February 11, 2010 the only tag is on the motor ive looked fer 10 min but if you could possibly post a picture on here of a few diff angles i would compare thank you alot
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #15 Posted February 11, 2010 Here's a 1056: The 1046 is basically the same tractor except that the engine ("leftover" small oil pan K-241 from the 1965 models) was mounted on a riser plate. Here's yours:
rustynut 4 #16 Posted February 11, 2010 alright thanks im not shure if that is the same or not waht do you think
rustynut 4 #17 Posted February 11, 2010 alright everyone i found out what she is shes a 1056 so if any yall had pics of one go ahead and post them on here thanks everyone
Sparky-(Admin) 23,147 #18 Posted February 11, 2010 alright thanks im not shure if that is the same or not waht do you think I think TT just identified your tractor as a 1046 and not a 1056. The 1056 has its motor bolted to the frame and the 1046 has its motor bolted to a plate on the frame like yours. His knowledge about these tractors and the little differences between years is incredible. Mike........

Sparky-(Admin) 23,147 #24 Posted February 11, 2010 Did you guys read the whole thread? I will admit that TT's first comment seemed a bit crude, but he was trying to get Rustynut to do a bit of investigating on his own. Maybe give us all the info he could find before just giving up and asking. In the end TT was the only member here who could positively ID the tractor and back it up with facts and pictures which he did after Rustynut did some checking for any available tags. As a Moderator/Admin I see no issues here. Sorry if you see it different. Mike.......
