WH854 45 #3 Posted February 9, 2010 That collar you are talking about should have a spring pin in it. have you got it out.on my 42 inch blower that collar you are referring is an arm with a metal wheel at the bottom.there is a wheel on the other end with the handle on it. If you have the spring pin out,the shaft should be beveled at that end. I sprayed PB Blaster on it let it sit a while and used a big wrench to see if i could move it a little bit. It came loose pretty easy.you will have to pound that shaft out with a big hammer. USE A Soft HAMMER like Brass, if you don,t you will mess the shaft up, you will not be able to get shaft to slide through the roller bearings in side the auger. you can also use a little heat.
