crazy horse 0 #1 Posted February 9, 2010 I have a k series engine that is bad, off of a gt 14. This engine does not run the external points,I also have a good magnum engine off of a 314 8. The question is will the bearing plate,flywheel,and starter change over from the k to the magnum.I have been through alot of k series engines but not a mag. figured I would ask before tearing apart. thanks , Brian Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #3 Posted February 9, 2010 The cam pin is shorter on a Magnum and is sealed by a cup plug. I do know that the Magnum bearing plate won't work on a K block because they won't seal correctly, but I think it might work the other way around.
