Keeping the snow at bay

Recommended Posts

pfrederi

So far this year the snow fighting fleet has scared the snow away from North East PA. I don't think we have had a total of 20 inches so far this season. Haven't had to use the heavy hitters yet at all. Only used the 418A with her blower once and that was to move a snow pile the C-175 made. Supposed to be a snow storm Tuesday-Wednesday so I got everybody out today for a warm up. Note the lack of snow in the picture.

C-175 (has a very well used (over 2000 hours) KT-17 from a JD) with plow

L-107 plow (and trailer)

418A with blower

1953 Case DC with back Blade

1944 Farmall M (actually she belongs to my neighbor but she is stored in my shed)

Everything is running in the pix

hopefully they will scare the snow away again B)

He doesn't need a snow cab with all of that equipment. He doesn't plan on spending a lot of time doing the work. B)

I've been tempted too get a snow cab but I've had them before, without a solid windshield that can accept a wiper blade it gets to be a mess and all smudgy and I get a headache from squinting. I guess if the price was almost free I'd take one though. B)

That's a pretti impressive fleet, particularly the one with the blade that looks about 15' wide and 5' high :clap:B)

I have to make do with a 314-H and 48" blade. But it meets my needs just fine - a 100" foot drive.

We have about 2" on the ground this morning (west of Chicago) with up to 12" total accumulation by tomorrow morning. At the moment I'm waiting for a little more snow before I deal with it. Then when we're finished with this snow, we'll send it on your way.

Paul: Looks like you have a great "contracting out" fleet to serve your section of the Pennsy state!

Great looking bunch of equipment!
