Jim10941 0 #1 Posted February 7, 2010 Hi Folks, I am new to the forum and have a question on a Toro WheelHorse 244-5. I am working on mt sister's mower, which has a significant oil leak either on the shaft seal and/or the seal between the two halves of the crankcase. I am taking the engine (14 horse) off to get to the heart of the problem. I pulled off the clutch and pulley for the mower deck, but the pulley that drives the transmission belt seems to be pressed on. There is no keyway showing, but the sleeve below the pulley itself has an indentation that may be (?) pressed into a keyway. The hole in the plate that supports the engine is not big enough to pass the pulley. How does this come apart? Any help would be greatly appreciated. MikesRJ 558 #2 Posted February 7, 2010 Have you checked the Toro Site? The manual for that Onan engine is available. https://homeownersolutions.toro.com/portal/...=2&userID=19461 Enter model # 22-14O501, 22-14O502, 72040, or 72060 (Whichever applies to you). Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted February 8, 2010 That indent is a key of sorts, you have to pull/press the pulley off, they can be stubborn.
