evan4434 0 #1 Posted February 5, 2010 I am looking at a 1995 520H with a snowblower. I want to add a 3 point hitch to it, but I am not sure how this works. Does the snowblower lift up and down with the deck lift? I know the 3 point would be using the deck lift. What I need to know is can I lock the snowblower in the up position and use the deck lift for the 3 point. I use the 3 point to move fire wood from my shed to my house, but don't want to have to remove the snow blower. I also use my 3 point to plow and I would not want the snowblower down when the plow is down on the back. Thanks
catman81056 3 #2 Posted February 6, 2010 You could save yourself a lot of aggrivation by just taking the blower off. Its pretty simple to do and would free up your mid lift.

can whlvr 994 #4 Posted February 6, 2010 maybe some one has tried this,i have not yet but if the lift flag will travel in the tube without binding you couldmake an attachment to lock the blower up and dont forget when blowing that the 3point will go up and down so it will need no implerments or a lock or chain to hold up the plow. evan4434 0 #7 Posted February 6, 2010 Hello and Get a D series. I found a D200 for $1,600, but when I was researching them I got scared by the people posting about bad hydro's and steering components. It sounds like the 520H is a better machine is this not true? It also sounded like it was harder to come by parts for a D series.
baerpath 517 #9 Posted February 6, 2010 Another tractor that would do what you want is a GT14 with independent 3pt Duane
bitten 134 #10 Posted February 7, 2010 I have never owned or driven a 520. My statement is based on the fact that the 3 point and the mid lift are separate. I do own a D and like it a lot.
jaydeer 14 #11 Posted February 7, 2010 Sounds to me like a problem with a terrific solution. You have found a great excuse to buy another Wheel Horse! B)
