puckshot 0 #1 Posted January 30, 2010 I'm needing a little help on a potential purchase. There is a d180 available but I was told it was a '78 w/ a 20horse kohler twin on it. From the documents on wh.org I thought the d180 was only built two years. And, came w/ a 18 horse single kohler. Anyone know if this truly could be a '78? Or, maybe this is something put together from other tractors? Thanks from a newbie WH fan.
MikesRJ 558 #2 Posted January 30, 2010 D-180's were only made two years (1974-1975). I suggest you tell them that doesn't sound right to you, and ask for the model number to be sure as to what you are getting. I suspect it is a D-160, perhaps with a replaced engine, which was made between 1974 and 1980.
tommy3horse 3 #3 Posted January 30, 2010 Hello, I saw one on ebay that sounds very simular. The guy was listing it as a D200 with a 16 hp Kohler, then he had a seperate ad for the Onan 20hp motor. Sounds lik a parts tractor.

puckshot 0 #5 Posted January 30, 2010 Thanks guys. I did see the 74 and 75 listed on the 'official' WH model pdf I found. So, I was suspicious when he told me the year and then also told me they put both 18 and 20 horse motors on the d180. I know that was not right. I'll take a look at it anyway just for kicks. It's 2K w/ no loader so I doubt this is going to get purchased. But, I've never seen a d tractor so I will at least stop by.
tbbahner 28 #6 Posted January 30, 2010 Hey Scott, Let me know if you get it. I'd like to stop by and see it. All they can do is say no, if you offer less. Tom B
