coolhandblack 45 #1 Posted January 30, 2010 Well I finally got a fire lit under my but and decided it was time to tear apart the 1276 and paint it up all perty. I did the hood and seat/fenders a couple weeks ago mainly because I dont really have that much room in my one car garage to do the whole thing at once. I must say that I have never done anything like this in my life but the hood and fenders came out pretty good. Well now to the crappy part, A couple days ago I started tearing the horse apart to get her cleaned up and ready and it is now in many pieces. Of course as soon as i get it torn apart we get about 10 inches of snow! I am pissed... I dont get the chance to plow snow that often and the one time i do my wheelhorse is in pieces! Damn the luck. Ill post some pics when I get finished with it. Wont be in the same class as some of yours but im giving it the ole army try!
Sparky-(Admin) 23,757 #2 Posted January 30, 2010 Now you can see why most of us have more than one Wheel Horse. I need all 5 of my running tractors to keep things shipshape around here . Mike..........
leichty 0 #3 Posted January 30, 2010 Wow , Talk about bad timming. Sounds like you need a couple more wheelhorses in your fleet. Good luck on your restore i'm sure it will look good. Don't hurt yourself moving that snow by hand.Looking forward to seeing pictures.

tbbahner 28 #5 Posted January 30, 2010 Sounds like you got hammered like we did around Christmas! Totally missed us up here in the NE part of the state. Like others said, ya gotta have one for each implement- mower, blade, tiller at least! Be careful with the shovel, they'll wreck your back! stevasaurus 23,449 #14 Posted January 30, 2010 getting snow is like going fishing. The fish know when you are not looking. Score...snow 1...snow plow 0. I have a feeling, the snow doesn't stand a chance. Hang in there. :banghead:

coolhandblack 45 #16 Posted February 8, 2010 Couple pics after I got it put back together... I have ordered some decals from decalwizard so ill post a pic later after I get them put on too. I plan on getting some new tires for the front and will paint those rims all pretty at that time... Now just gotta find a hood emblem and possibly a cig lighter. BTW I was reading some old post and if there is ever another Redsquare meet and greet in the Kansas/Missouri/Oklahoma area let me know, I would love to see some of your horses! Also I saw a post on here a couple weeks ago where someone posted a pic of a horse they bought and the original owner had a pic of it with a man and child on it, I looked and cant find it now if anyone knows where its at let me know I thought it was a cool pic.
