I just tore apart my brothers 1986 312-A tractor, it quit running 15 years ago and 10 years ago I trailored it home and had it stored under my deck. Last weekend I told my son, "lets tear it apart". I have a walk out basement and we had everything carried inside in 1/2 an hour.

I will post pictures with my progress. Wish me luck!

 Restoring these machines and keeping them alove is awesome especially when it is a father and son project. Only questions is when it is done who is the owner, you or your son??

A walkout basement sounds like it would be the cat's meow. Enjoy the site and please post pictures. There are a few of us from Illinois here.

Thank you for all your words of encouragement!

Made some progress over the weekend.

The wife thinks its a piece of junk and doesnt understand why I want to fix it up. I already fixed up a RX73 John Deere for the yard.

She keeps asking me what I am going to do with it. She is worried about me spending money. I think once she can see a little progress with little money spent, I will be ok.

I appreciate all your comments!
