Docwheelhorse 2,740 #1 Posted January 28, 2010 Hello All---I did some looking around and the K361 OHV motor looks interesting---I take it that it was a miserable failure just like the similar Tecumseh Flathead to OHV conversion that was crummy? I went looking and they just don't exhist---out of curiosity when where they made and what was the problem with them? Enquiring minds want to know Tony
Horse Rancher 0 #2 Posted January 28, 2010 The k361 was mainly used by simplicity and ariens they were in power kings also from my knowledge they were phased out because of the extra cost for the 2hp gain this was about the same time the kt17 and kt19 series was released We have 2 complete k361 engines one is slated to be in a horse by the end of winter when we finish i will post more info on the results :banghead:

baerpath 517 #4 Posted January 28, 2010 Another problem is that the hp gain was by centering the bore over the crank, it raises the compression but it also tends to bend the crank if not break it. Steel crank fixes that though Duane
