truckin88 104 #1 Posted January 26, 2010 Do you guys really like this stuff, how do you use it (in oil or gas? as the bottle says both), what uses have you seen. Any minuses? Thanks, Will
Don1977 605 #2 Posted January 26, 2010 Good stuff I add it to my oil and have used it in gas a couple of times. It will keep the engine free from sludge. I also use it in my air wrench.
W9JAB 156 #3 Posted January 26, 2010 it's just a light oil (5wt) it won't do any harm, but don't do much good either. If you like additives, I would use a lead substitute in the gas and slick 50 in the oil.

mavfreak 11 #6 Posted May 30, 2010 believe the bottle and I don't like most additives. But I could sell dog pee in a bottle and say its the best ever and people would buy it. But I do use this stuff. Guess it cause its been around so long
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,534 #7 Posted May 30, 2010 A few guys I know use it to smog out the boats for winter storage. Run the motor and idle it down then pour it in the car and it coats the interals til it chokes out the engine.
Docwheelhorse 2,740 #8 Posted May 30, 2010 I've used Marvel in "noisy" engines---valvetrain click clacking and it has cleared that up. I have also used it to fog out engines in boats as Stevebo describes... If you don't like Marvel try Rislone... its just as good and toss a coin as to which one is better. Seafoam is in there fighting too.... Tony
hodge 6 #9 Posted May 30, 2010 I have used it for years and appreciate it. Growing up, my best friend's father owned the local airport. He was an A&P mechanic, and swore by it. Now, I know that there are hundreds of products, and most can't be proven to be effective. But, I have never experienced any ill effects using it, and I run it in all my gas engines, to add some lubricity to today's dry gas. I'm not scared of it.
