These rear tillers are getting hard to find. I think this is a 1964 or 65. It may beat the crap out of you when in operation! :banghead: This one's in nice original condition with a nice Tecumseh engine.

That's a '61 WT-241 or '62 WT-242. There was no '63 WT-243 model and the '64 WT-244 had a handle on the clutch rod rather than just the ball (which yours is missing.). The '61 & '62 used 5.5 hp Lausons, the '64 used a 6 hp Lauson.

I have a WT-241. I've used it several hours behind my 702 and briefly behind my 1054A. It jumped up and down a lot when breaking hard clay, but since the cable lift rear hitch soaked up the jumps it didn't shake the tractor much at all.

Never had a tiller that free-wheeled off the back of a tractor. What happens when it hits a rock? I bet that thing goes crazy. I don't think that concept lasted too long.

Is this what the tiller that was for the 200 series looked like? Also, how would you control it when you are on the tractor? You got no clutch or trottle.. thanks. Looks so wierd. LOL.

This style tiller was built when the Suburbans and late round hoods were being built. They will work with any Wheel Horse with a slot hitch. They have a throttle/choke control on the side of their engines and a clutch handle on the front. The clutch can be worked from the driver's seat.

They do tend to bounce up and over large rocks. They will, however, stall if just the right size rock gets caught between the tines and the center, upright shaft housing.
