boovuc 1,090 #1 Posted January 24, 2010 Hi Guys. Been gone awhile. I picked up a very nice shape 310-8 speed. (1988) Went to Toro's site and punched in the model number and it's not a downloadable manual. (Purchase only and even then I couldn't nail it down with the form number given). Does anyone have it up on their own site by chance? It will take a month of sundays to join all of Wheelhorse.org's manual forums. I'm a member on the first two but it's not listed there. Thanks, Boovuc Mill Hall, PA

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,472 #3 Posted January 24, 2010 The oldest manual you can download from Toro for the 310-8 is for the 1990 model and it is identical to the 1988 except for the wiring because you should have a 3amp unregulated charging system for the battery and the 1990 has a 15 amp regulated system. Go to https://lookup3.toro.com/request/request.cfm Use 31-10K801 for a model number and type the word none in the serial # box. If you need a wiring diagram that is availlable also. Could you check your engine numbers and see if they match these? M10S-461521 They use these up to Kohler S/N 1919902922 (1989) but Toro says they also used them after that serial so wondering which is correct. Redbird 1 #4 Posted January 24, 2010 I have a copy of the Wheel Horse Operator's Manual for 300 Series 8-speed and Automatic and it also is for the 400 Series 8-speed and Automatic. It is an old one---NOT from TORO. It has the wiring diagrams for the following: 308 310 312, 414 (same wiring) 416 417 420 Front to back it's 27(+) pages. Part # for the catalog it: 810437R1 PM me if you'd like me to copy it for you.
boovuc 1,090 #5 Posted January 25, 2010 Guys! Thank you for your quick response. Redbird: Thanks for your offer to copy for me. I grabbed the 1990 book from Toro's site! gwest_ca: Your right on with your Toro manual availability. I downloaded the 1990 manual you suggested and then went back to the 3amp 1988 electrical manual for it. To answer your question on the motor, The magnum Kohler is in fact an M10S Spec#461521 S/N: 1804204083 This machine is really nice looking and all original. The PO kept it nice! Now I can plow if the snow is wet, blow if the snow is powder and mow if there is no snow and the grass grows over the winter. (OK, the last one is a reach but it validates owning three now)! Thanks again guy! Boovuc Mill Hall, PA
