i bought this mowwer about amonth ago if anyone remembers but i could never get it to run so today i finally got the urdge to take the carb completely apart and clean it and i took the fuel pump compleely apart and cleaned it i also went and ran the fuel line back through the right places and i bouught the right size fuel line now it runs fabulus and this was all in one day but now my problem is my cable on the tiller that lifts it up and down wont hold up to it it just keeps stripin out of the clamp i puton it an i put the biggest cable i couldon that thing to

I think the tiller needs a lift assist spring which might take up some of the weight.

rustynut,i did what rick said and used 2 clamps and also have the lift spring and it hasnt slipped yet.

well i got a lift spring i can try to put to clamps on there but i dont know if i have enough cable to put two on but ill try. thanks :thumbs::WRS: :banghead:

Hardware stores carry aluminum crimp sleeves for various size

cables we usually peen them with a flat steel plate and a hammer

:thumbs: :banghead: thANKS i just ended up double clampin it where the cable goes to the mower deck levver and it hasnt ssliped yet. but now i cant find anywhere is the mid mount idler pully fer it and that is a really important part so i need hel on that now

u might have to ask someone with a tiller that old to post pics and measurements of the pulleys so u can fab one up,mine is newer so i believe its different than yours,mine is for the newer stle with the tacommatic hitches
