Serial Number Invalid..um now what?

Recommended Posts

For those who have been following my saga for the past couple of days I have the model number for my dad's tractor and I have the serial number also. The model # is 855 and the serial number is 115953. I've gone to the Toro website and entered both for the parts list and I get an error saying the serial number is invalid. I've called my sister 3 times to have her triple check the number and it is correct. What I really need is the part number for the throttle cable and the deck. Does anyone know what these model numbers may be?

Also, I've checked the interchangable list but I'm not really sure how to read it. Am I understanding it correctly that the 855 has interchangable parts with the 1045 and the 1055?

LINK to parts list

(no serial number needed)

Some parts do interchange with the 1055, and also the 856 and 857. (and a few others)

I'm almost positive that the "new" number for the throttle cable is 102119.

The deck would be an RM-365 or RM-366. (not available new, of course)
