Kelly 1,033 #3 Posted January 21, 2010 There is a block of wood they use as a chain tensioner, the new one is plastic make sure that is good, or the chain will be loose and ride up on the gears, a new one is about $
bobert94 38 #4 Posted January 21, 2010 I had the same problem with mine. I bought a piece of plastic to replace the wood block. Drilled two holes in it and ground a radius on it to match the chain, been working for two years.Cost less than 5.00$ to repair. If your gear is two bad I would take it off and try to match it up at your local tractor supply store. The chain is a standard pitch chain and they would probably have that too.You would probably only need 2 or 3 feet and a master link.
