Dresden Guy 24 #1 Posted January 20, 2010  I have looked in every Yahoo Group and still can't find a Raider 12 (1969 / 1-6241) manual. As usual I need help to steer me to the correct location. HELP!
Brrly1 1,146 #2 Posted January 20, 2010 Are you looking for an original ? Parts or owners?Or are you just looking for something to print out? There are several groups around that have printable manuals. There are probably a few members that have original manuals. See Ya, Bye Burly
MikesRJ 558 #3 Posted January 20, 2010 MWH does not have the 1969 but do have the 1970 which is almost identical, if that will suit you for the short term. Transmission appears to be different but the manual for it is the same either way. 1969 1-6241 Raider 12 4-Speed 12 K301S-47147C 5071 OM - IPL 1970 manual is almost identical. 1-6252 Raider 12 8-Speed 12 K301S-47147C 5073 OM - IPL Operator Manual http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/...3_OM_A-5199.pdf IPL http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/..._IPL_A-5199.pdf Engine Manuals http://www.mywheelhorse.com/modules.php?na...w_doc&id=9#k301 Transmission Manual http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/...1958_-_1982.pdf
Dresden Guy 24 #4 Posted January 21, 2010 Thanks guys (Brryl1 and MikesRJ), and I can certainly use copies for the Raider 12 manuals and info. I really appreciate the help. I would have written sooner but I just got home with my "newest" horse - a C-160, all original and in good condition, plus a spare set of turfs, plus he threw in an excellent condition 12 hp Gravely 1239-G with a deck - just for the heck of it. I will post some pictures tomorrow. Had to drive 385 miles round trip through the mountains of WV, but it was worth it. Again thanks for the Raider 12 stuff.....will read it until I fall asleep. gregg.d250 0 #9 Posted January 21, 2010 This is great info - How does one navigate that site? I've been looking for *.pdf manuals (Operator and Parts) for my 1971 Charger. A hydrostatic trans manual would be great too. Can anyone 'unlock' the site's manual storage location riddle? Some of the hyperlinks listed above are blocked too. Thanks-
MikesRJ 558 #10 Posted January 21, 2010 Not at home, but yes at work!,Rick Perhaps a donation or two for MWH if it's in your heart to do so. It would be much appreciated if you could donate a ZIP folder full of scanned images. Take a look at this post for a how-to (must be logged in): http://www.mywheelhorse.com/modules.php?na...=viewtopic&t=

Dresden Guy 24 #12 Posted January 21, 2010 If someone has an original I will be glad to scan and "PDF" the files and even print them on our commercial laser printer. I can also bind them for anyone...at no charge if there are not more than 6 or 8 guys who need one. I would be grateful for a manual and a parts list. I am anxious to get started on my '76 C-160. Let me know if you want the Manual scanned, copied, "PDFed", and or bound. Happy to do it. I was going to upload a picture of my "new" C-160 but it wouldn't take my bitmap type of a file???? Dresden Guy 24 #13 Posted January 21, 2010 I need to clarify my reply....I already printed the Raider 12 manuals for my friend and he is very happy. However, I am in need of the 1976 C-160 (61-16K802) manuals which apparently are not around. But I would still be glad to do the Raider 12 stuff as I said, but would very much like to get the C-160 manuals so as to get started on my restore. Thanks guys. Dresden Guy 24 #15 Posted January 21, 2010 Dresden, Ohio, home of Longaberger Baskets. My wife and I have a very busy Bed & Breakfast (Sarahs' House Victorian B&B / www.sarahshouse.com ....please forgive my shameless plug, now back to important WH stuff), but this is the off season and I and becoming a WH addict. I read all you long-time members comments and recommendations and settled on a C-160. Right after I commited for my C-160, I saw a guy who has four (4) of them for sale.... oh well, I'm happy with my aquisition. Now I need all of you expert restorers to provide the "grey matter" because the major teardown will be new to me. So get ready for my "dumber than a box of rocks" questions!! Incidentally, I made a call to a WH dealer friend of mine and he went back in his 50 year old shop and located an original C-160 (61-16K802) manual(s) which I understand is not in our archives. He said I can have it, just come and get it. Any others I should look for when I go there next Tuesday? Thanks to everyone Dresden Guy (Steve M in Ohio) by the way, where are you located??
