wesley 32 #1 Posted January 17, 2010  Hi all am back playing , and a problem to start with , l dont seem to be able to find a fuel pump repair kit for my k241S engine , the pump is the metal type and over here in the uk , all they want to do is sell me a newer plastic pump at a dam silly price , So are there kits to be had over pond? wes
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted January 17, 2010 They've been unavailable over here for quite some time too, Wes. You'll either need to purchase the plastic pump, scour old dealers and hope they still have a kit on the shelf, or look for a NOS or good used pump. Sorry I didn't have good news. Hope all is well otherwise!
MikesRJ 558 #3 Posted January 17, 2010 That depends on which fuel pump you have. If it's a Makuni fuel pump, then the kits run between 10-20 here in the US. The whole pump assy. is about $35.00. With the current exchange rate it's a steal for you. http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q=Koh...ved=0CCQQrQQwAg http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/22-10876.html A pictures worth a thousand words (right from the K241 IPL):

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #5 Posted January 17, 2010 You can fit a vacuum fuel pump to your Raider if you fabricate a block-off plate to bolt over the opening for your current pump. Drill a hole in the center of the plate and attach a fitting for the vacuum hose to "power" the pump. Should be an easy one for you , Wes..... I've seen some of your work.

buckrancher 2,694 #8 Posted January 18, 2010 Hi Wes If the diaphram is ok(hold it up to a light and look for a small hole by stretching the rubber and looking for light) the little round pucks may be wore and not sealing if the two small springs are good you can sand the pucks with some 2000 grit paper on a piece of glass I've gotten them working again by doing that
