Weight box

Recommended Posts

C-85

Hi Red Square,

This is my first time using this so I hope I'm doing it the right way!

I have an '81 C-85 with a plow blade on it. I have vbar tire chains and wheel weights on it now, but could use a little more traction. I have an old weight box from an Ariens GT tractor, so I have a box, I just need to figure out how to fabricate it to fit my tractor. I was wondering if anyone has any put a weight box on a C-series and if so how they did it.

A good friend of mine suggested to contact Kwik-Way as they had a weight box that went with the loader option. I emailed them through their site and never got a reply, so that didn't work out.

This is another thought towards traction, has anyone figured out how to put a locking rear end in a Uni-drive?

C85, :banghead: ! Glad you found us, and very glad to have you aboard!

Guys, I'll leave it to him to give you his personal info when he get's comfortable, but I know this member very well. He's a great guy and is actually quite a resource for WH information - just a bit shy and not one to blow his own horn. Let's just say his family used to own a great WH dealership......

Anyway, I don't know much about weight boxes, but there's some good discussion going on about locking rear ends in the tranny section. Try this link:

can whlvr

i mounted a reese 2 inch receiver on my 308,from there a 2inch peice of square tube can be used and almost any thing can be attached to it via welded or bolted, the hitch attaches to the plow brackets on the rear axel and rests on the rear of the tranny 004-2.jpg

We have a member here that is selling 3 point hitches that should fit your C. With one of those I would think it should be easy to do.
