1975 B-100

I have a 1975 B-100 Automatic (1-0511) less the engine. I recently aquired an engine, but not sure it is the correct one.

Does anyone have a really good picture of how the engine is mounted? My frame has several (mounting?) holes, and the 2 closest to the front axle are threaded.

I am not having much luck lining up the holes on the engine pan to the holes in the frame.

No pix I do not have a 10 hp but I think 2 bolts go up through the frame into threaded holes in the oil pan and 2 go through the frame and a flanged hole in on the oil pan...if you have the correct motor/oil pan

According to my info, the engine is a K241S. It mounts directly to the frame on the holes shown in the diagram.

Hope this helps.

The '74-'75 B-100 models were just discussed here not long ago.

They are a medium frame tractor -- which places the front two engine mount bolts directly over the front axle. Since the left front bolt will push up through the unthreaded oil pan hole for installation, it is just like the other tractors -- but the right front corner is secured by a J bolt attached under the lip on the bottom of the frame.

You can see the J bolt in the first picture in this post:

I think I gave the wrong info. My B-100 (1977) is what I based the info on. I was not aware of the other frame on early B-100's

Please disregard and follow TT's advice. He is infinitely more versed on these horse than I.

Not to hijack the thread TT, but on my raider 12, I only have the left side bolted down, I have the 2 holes in the right side of the frame, but no bolt holes into the oil pan, know anything about that??

The two right side bolts go up through the frame and into threaded holes in the bottom of the oil pan. You should be able to reach up under the frame near the oil pan corners and feel the bolt heads.

The 1976-77 B-60/80/100 are "long frame" tractors They're basically a stripped-down version of the C series and were only available with the 8 speed Uni-Drive.

The 1974-75 B-100 was automatic (hydro) only and those models, along with the 1974-75 B-80 4 speed, used the "medium frame".
