millman 0 #1 Posted January 13, 2010 I got this yesterday and started making a list of parts I know i'll need. The part I don't know where to get is the headlight lense. Mine has big chips out of it. If I'm going to do this I want to do it right. Any help in locating one. Before I start tearing it apart I'll take pics and post them and then as I finish each area. It's cold here in north central missouri so it will be a couple of days before I get started. I do windmills for a living and i am really getting into this wheelhorse. It's just so much fun.

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #3 Posted January 13, 2010 Find a building with this sign outside: Go to the parts counter and have them order P/N 98-1713. Give them about $28 of your hard-earned money in 3 to 5 days (when the part arrives) and you will have your headlight lens. :banghead:

millman 0 #5 Posted January 13, 2010 I'm not sure how to take MikeRJ's response. If he is just poking fun or what. Just remember the only stupid question is the one never asked
d180man 5 #7 Posted January 13, 2010 Hi and he is at tt good luck just check with toro if you have a dealer if not i can ask our dealer just pm me and we love photos! :WRS:
tgranthamfd 29 #8 Posted January 13, 2010 As stated the lens is still avalible through Toro at a reasonable price, as for other parts you may need, a lot of the C series stuff will interchage with your 120. Just don't do like I did and crank down on one screw at a time, they are new but fragile, cracked one corner of the lens. Really it was my brother, but he gave me the new lens. Good luck and check the classifieds on here when you need parts, as well. :banghead:
tgranthamfd 29 #9 Posted January 13, 2010  You said you do windmills. Do you make, buy, sell electric windmills or make new old style, Ect...... Just curious.
Old Dave 0 #10 Posted January 13, 2010 Lakewood Lawn & Garden in Columbia, Mo. is a big Toro dealer and has a pretty good inventory of older Wheel Horse parts.(Has been a dealer for a long time) He sells a lot of stuff on E-bay and I have have seen these lens listed there from time to time. The guy's name is Dave...nice fellow. Good luck, Dave
kajamo240 3 #11 Posted January 13, 2010 A new lens would cost, like TT said, about $28. You can still order them new online if you choose also. Or you can always wait around on eBay and see if one pops up... This is a great site with great people, lots of bs'ing but more of good information. Glad you found us here! :banghead:
HankB 16 #12 Posted January 13, 2010 as for item #2 - you're new - you will soon find out unasked questions are NOT the only stupid ones posted here. I will agree with the claim that the only stupid question is the one not asked. I will, however, add that I have seen - and not necessarily on this forum - the occasional stupid answer.

stevebo-(Moderator) 8,531 #15 Posted January 22, 2010 There is a guy selling repros on ebay for about $20.00 but then add shipping and you are back to $28 at the dealer. Good luck and welcome...
