HankB 16 #1 Posted January 12, 2010 Well... Everyone else has been posting pictures of their horses. I gues it was time to get some pictures of mine. So the last time we had some snow to deal with, I got a couple pictures. Just a garden variety 314-H with a 48" blade. I replaced a short frame 42" blade that had no tilt lever with an official Wheel Horse blade that I can tilt from the seat and I'm really enjoying swinging that blade back and forth from the seat. This picture probably best shows the snow we have at the moment. Won't be using that picnic table soon.

HankB 16 #9 Posted January 12, 2010 Hey Hank, I thought that snow looked familier, you are just down the road from me. Nice pictures I guess I can't make up any stories about how much snow we get then, huh? Unless we work on that together. Thanks all for the kind replies. Tony S 2 #10 Posted January 12, 2010 Hi, nice looking tractor and plough! Do all the later snow ploughs have that pin that drops down from the front tach-a-matic, and would there be any point in fitting one to an older plough frame. Regards Tony.
HankB 16 #11 Posted January 12, 2010 Hi, nice looking tractor and plough! Do all the later snow ploughs have that pin that drops down from the front tach-a-matic, and would there be any point in fitting one to an older plough frame. Regards Tony. You have a good eye for detail! I understand that this is standard on the plows made for the 520s. Others have made their own and this is my attempt at that. You can see better pictures of it at http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=14496 In my case, my rear axle bracket had seen heavy use before I got it and the notches were wallowed out a bit, allowing the plow to swing back and forth enough for me to notice (or so I thought.) It wasn't a tremendous amount of work to fabricate and didn't cost a lot for materials so I made it. (After seeing the results of the welds, I'm thinking that this spring I may have my son build up the edges of notches in the rear axle to reduce the slop as well.) thanks, hank
