'75 C-160 What to do???

Recommended Posts

Dresden Guy

I need your opinion about a '75 C-160 (1-0481) for sale. The owner says the engine runs great, no smoke, no knock, etc. (It's a K341S on it) and he will include chains, tiller, mower deck, disc and snow blade for $400. It looks somwwhat rough and has no ignition switch. I will drive to Indiana to look at it if your comments are favorable and the C-160 is a unit worth invsting some time and money in.

I am going to get rid of two 211s; (211-4 w/ rebuilt deck, new snow blade, and grass catcher plus a 211-5 w/ a so-so mower deck).

I want a WH that will use as many accessories as possible and will interchange with several model years.

I have to go to see this coming Wednesday, or call and tell him I'm not interested. What's everyone think?? HELP!

If the engine runs good with no noises that alone is worth the $400 (at least up here in the CT area). I'd go get it just for that alone. The rest is all freebies

Tell him you'll take it and go get it!

Just my $.02

I would be willing to go out on a limb and say the C160 8 Speed is the most desireable of the Wheel Horses (Next would be the C160 Auto...) . At $400 with all those goodies you are stealing it... I would like 1000th dibs if the first 999 people that have told you turn it down!!

I agree, with all of the attachments that are included and if the motor runs good there is absolutely no way you could get hurt on it. Sounds like a great canadate for a restoration, and those C-160's are great tractors. Id say go for it

I vote yes, with all of those attachments. Why haven't you been there and back already with the tractor in tow? Hope it's still there when you get there. There's alot of Horse rustlers out there especially over there in Indiana. See Ya, Bye Burly
