KC9KAS 4,744 #1 Posted January 8, 2010 Today, we got our 1st "real" snow fall of the season...a mere 3" or so of the dry variety. Plowed with a 1964 654 that has been "customized" by a PO. The customizing consisted of installing a 10HP Tecumseh. That in it's self isn't that bad, but they cut the hood and extended the hood & frame 10" to install the battery in front of the engine. It also has 1 headlight in the middle of the hood, as well as a very loud horn! I'm not to happy with the looks, but until I can come up with a solution, it will stay that way. I know, I know....pictures--pictures--pictures! My wife wasn't home when I started plowing our drive, and I was on the other side of town doing my dad's, brother's, and son's drives when she came home, and she didn't know where I was! Actually, I would be somewhat embarrassed to show myself plowing only 3" of snow, but here in Southern Indiana sometimes we get 3", and sometimes we get a foot! If we get more "plowable" snow, my wife has strict orders to get some action shots!

tgranthamfd 29 #9 Posted January 8, 2010 It's more about the seat time and the enjoyment than the snow, hope you had a blast. I would like to see your horse too, sounds interesting.

dscott2000 1 #11 Posted January 8, 2010 Well guys, I have about 15 inches of the white crap in my front yard. My green snow blower has had a hard time dealing with it. I just cant afford to get a blower or plow that will fit on my Raider 8. Well, I cant complain for the price of my blower. Anyhoo.. Back on topic. I am with everyone else.. :banghead:
KC9KAS 4,744 #12 Posted January 8, 2010 As far as the wife training, she is my 2nd (and last) and I am her 2nd, so we were both "used" and set in our ways! So, remember....no mater if it is a wife or kids, once you lose control, you never get it back!

MikesRJ 558 #14 Posted January 8, 2010 Mike RJ You have cracked me up...(piss poor early marriage management)...who of us can't say that. Sir...if I ever get to meet you...the drinks are on me. I'll certainly take you up on that! My preference is single malt scotch....hehehehe. I'll be camping at this year's WH Show, probably circling the wagons with BuckRancher and Wallfish ... WheelHorse_of_course 99 #17 Posted January 9, 2010 Three inches of snow is definitely more than enough to plow the sidewalks. I was doing two whole blocks last year in Cleveland Heights. Now I am in VA and the snow blade and blower are still in OH. The funny thing is that we don't even have sidewalks, so I would have been working on clearing the road. Happy New Year to all you horse lovers (and rustlers) on Red Square.
