Shuboxlover 480 #1 Posted January 7, 2010 I found a cab on CL, but it is not red, it is the standard canvas color. Soft top, wheel horse cab (came off a 518? I think) Most(all) of the cabs I have seen have been red, but this one is canvas color(tan) WHY??? Are they better/worse than the red ones, I would guess that the canvas ones are not as good as the vinyl, but that is pure speculation. What are your ideas and thoughts. MikesRJ 558 #2 Posted January 7, 2010 Wheel Horse had several manufacturers make their cabs. I don't recall ever seeing a WH cab made of canvas (correct me if I'm wrong here fellows), I believe all the WH cabs were Naugahyde/vinyl material. In fact three of the four in the list are beige vinyl. Take a look at the following manual. http://www.mywheelhorse.com/graphics/file/...htl_3533-A_.pdf The 3533-A was a soft top cab made from vinyl and was beige in color. Nothing wrong with it except it was designed for the 1967 and prior tractors plus 1968 and 1969 long frames and "B" series tractors. It'll work on any '70's "C" machine as well. Save Old Iron 1,571 #3 Posted January 7, 2010 I imagine a darker color may be of some value to visually differentiate you from a snow bank - and a darker color would absorb more heat from sunlight to clear any snow accumulation off the cab walls a little quicker.
