bork 0 #1 Posted January 2, 2010 How high should blade be from ground when up? On level ground my average is approx 4". If a pulley was removed, I think I could get another inch or more.
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #2 Posted January 2, 2010 What model/year tractor? There are several adjustments to enable higher lift, but you can only go as high as the front axle on most models.

TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #4 Posted January 2, 2010 What are you using for a lift link between the plow frame and the bellcrank arm on the tractor?
bork 0 #5 Posted January 2, 2010 It has a threaded rod that I can adjust, get the blade higher, but I'd have to remove the pulley that the frame is presently hitting. Should I remove pulley? Is it advantageous to have more heighth?
TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #6 Posted January 2, 2010 I assume you're talking about the idler pulley for the mower drive belt? You can remove the entire bracket from the side of the frame if you need more height. If the blade clears any high spots or humps you need to drive across, you might not have to worry about it, BUT if you plow in areas that will force the blade to raise beyond the pulley/bracket - or you want to push material up on a pile - it's better if the blade will lift as high as possible without hitting.
