Gerry w 2 #1 Posted January 1, 2010 Now some of you folks will think so what, but to find one of these in Northern Vermont isn't easy, and as you can see this one needs some work, but it's solid and the tires need tubes, that's it as far as structural goes. Just some paint, sanding, etc., and Kathy will be towing this behind her LR this spring! Thanks for looking... I also got this MAJOR award this Christmas!! It's from Italy!!! Thanks again!! Kelly 1,033 #8 Posted January 1, 2010 For being the newer style trailer I don't see many of them here, I find more of the older round trailers, maybe it was because you could get a cheap one like that at most hardware stores ?? nice lamp, what movie was that from?? a christmas one?? rydogg 186 #9 Posted January 1, 2010 The lamp is from the Warner Bros. movie called A Christmas Story.

bork 0 #13 Posted January 1, 2010 From what I can tell, the old Craftsman trailer I just got looks almost identical. Its hard to tell looking at pics. Now I wander if I should paint it red & put a WHsticker on it! How 'd ya get that lamp?
Sparky-(Admin) 23,138 #14 Posted January 2, 2010 I wonder who actually produced the WH trailers? I bet they were contracted out to another company who painted em red and sold em Wheel Horse. Maybe Agri-Fab or a company like that. Just a thought. Mike............

Indy w h 5 #17 Posted January 2, 2010 Caution-----fra-gil-ee must be italian!!!! Love the cart!!! Indy :banghead:
Gerry w 2 #18 Posted January 2, 2010 Thanks guys, I believe it was," Electric sex softy glowing in the moon light." My favorite Christmas movie!! My son go that from a Drug store, Kinneys I believe. It does look just like the Sears trailer, way it's built too. The main difference is the latch for the tipping of the body, this one seems to be heavier. I'm going to take it completely apart and sand/prime/paint and replace the bolts etc. with stainless. The one thing I'm going to add is a tuff liner inner coat cause it's going to be used. Wish I could send it to Pat's, he does great work!!!

pumper.atv 26 #22 Posted January 2, 2010 picked a trailer like that at a garage sale for $10, but it has a dent on the side and missing the end gate, also is from after the toro merger
Gerry w 2 #23 Posted January 2, 2010 Gerry, Would you believe I have the owners manual for that cart? I'll try to scan it this weekend and get it up on MWH. Still a great find. Thanks Guys, and I CAN'T let go of the lamp!! Mike, what paint would you recommend for the wheels, it's going to be a worker so it will need to last. I can get the red but need a god solid white or cream.. Thanks , Gerry
MikesRJ 558 #24 Posted January 2, 2010 If you have a spray gun; use the Valspar restoration Series Cub Beige mixed with hardener. The Cub cream color is a close enough match for a worker. If no sprayer; use the rattle can version of the same paint. Either way, sand the wheels down to 320 grit, use the Valspar primer, sand again to 320 and shoot the paint. It'll look great and you'd better have the camera ready for the whole process.
bitten 134 #25 Posted January 2, 2010 Nice score on the trailer. But really like the lamp, need to find me one for my office.
