BillyBob 0 #1 Posted December 21, 2009 I recently purchased this 400 Suburban with a mower deck and snow blade. This blade was suppose to be for this Suburban, however, if you look at the picture, you will notice that the mounting bracket and the holes in the frame do not match up. Otherwise it looks good. I was told that the bracket may be for a RJ and that is the issue?? Can someone please provide me with some definitive ideas on what I have and what I need to do. Or, if you have the correct adapter/mount so that this blade will work on the 400 without modification, I would be interested in purchasing it. Please advise. Buzz 502 #2 Posted December 21, 2009 You can get a parts breakdown of your blade from Toro that shows the mounting bracket. Go to: https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro Enter BD-4261 as the model number
tgranthamfd 29 #3 Posted December 21, 2009  That is the same style setup I won from a guy on e-bay, and never received it from him. On the post I had going, they said the RJ bracket would work on the Suburban's and the RJ's but the Suburban brackets would only work on the Suburban's, If I remember correctly. TT-(Moderator) 1,162 #4 Posted December 21, 2009 Here's a pretty good view of a "real" 400/550/401/551 bracket: It shouldn't be hard to whip one up. :notworthy:
wallfish 18,072 #5 Posted December 21, 2009 Jeff (Fireman) gave me a snow plow at the last meet & greet and it has the same bracket as BillyBob's. What tractor are these brackets for? I also have the bracket as shown in TT's post on a 401.
tgranthamfd 29 #6 Posted December 21, 2009 Hey BillyBob, here is a link that answered a lot of questions for me, along with a picture of the setup you asked me about in the PM. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?...=10141&hl=blade Hope this helps, if you find out something please let me know. :notworthy:
evanloock 236 #7 Posted December 21, 2009 To use the RJ bracket you run a bolt (I believe it's a 3/8 x 7 bolt) through the holes in the bracket ABOVE the frame of the Suburban. The bracket "hangs" over the top of the frame.
